Golden Rose holds a movement of transformation — from fire into gold, from expansion into center.
The painting began as Fire Rose — an exploration of the solar, refining quality of consciousness as experienced from within. What begins as something expansive and diffuse gradually concentrates through attention, falling inward toward its own source. That movement — outward into fire, inward into gold — is what this work carries.
At the center, the white rose emerges from a coherent gold field — a symbol of life arising from a refined and unified ground. Its petals are structured through a tenfold geometry, associated with completion, expanded capacity, and a return to origin after a long process of transformation.
From the center, two rays of light extend along the vertical and horizontal axes, forming a subtle cross. These lines hold a dual movement: spirit entering matter, and matter becoming transparent to spirit. The composition rests in the balance of these two directions.
The gold leaf is not an accent, but the ground itself — the field from which the image arises. In the Atelier Edition, each print returns to the studio to receive this element by hand, restoring the luminosity and presence of the original work.
