SQUARE IN SKY | Atelier Edition

Square in Sky holds a quiet transformation — from weight into light, from matter into something more permeable, more alive.

At the center, a square turned on its side becomes a diamond — a simple, balanced form suspended within an open field. At its upper point, a subtle cross begins to emerge: vertical and horizontal lines extending outward, lightly informing the space around it. The gesture is quiet, but it carries a deeper movement — spirit entering matter, form becoming infused with presence.

The background unfolds like a sky in transition. Beginning with a warm, earthy ochre at the base, it gradually refines into soft yellows, then into tints of pink and blue with the suggestion of clouds. There is a sense of lift here — of something rising, lightening, becoming.

The gold leaf within the form is not decorative, but integral — holding a threshold between the grounded and the luminous. In the Atelier Edition, this quality is restored by hand, each print returning to the studio to receive the same material and attention as the original.

This 24 × 30 format allows the space within the work to fully open — giving the geometry and surrounding field room to be experienced in relationship.

From an edition of only 12, each print is hand-finished with 24k gold leaf and released for a limited time.
