PURE | Atelier Edition

Pure is a painting of the transformed heart — not as an ideal, but as a quiet potential that lives within us.

At the center, an intricate geometric structure unfolds in gold. It carries the feeling of something refined over time — precise, luminous, and alive. And yet, at the base, a small portion remains ungilded. The work is not fully complete. It is still becoming.

Behind the structure, a dawn sky opens — soft yellows moving into pink-orange, then into light blue and white clouds. There is a sense of levity here. Of first light. Of emergence. Of becoming.

The gilding in this piece is structural — woven into the composition rather than laid upon it. Each line was resolved slowly, over many quiet hours in the studio, allowing the geometry to come into balance and coherence.

There is a line that stayed with me while working on this painting: that a noble heart lives within each of us, intact, waiting to open and be offered. Pure is an attempt to give form to that knowing — to make visible something that exists before effort, beneath experience.

This 24 × 30 format allows the geometry and gold to fully breathe — to be experienced at a scale where detail and light can be felt.

From an edition of only 12, each print is hand-finished with 24k gold leaf in the studio and released for a limited time.
