“A dancing god is a universe in motion”

Samuel Sagan

Lord Ganesha is dancing in the sky of the gods.  The tip of his helmet concentrates and expands his supermental conciousness throughout the sky weaving the threads of the creation. There are celestial mountins in the sky, symbolic of states of great stillness and clarity. The geometric shapes are dodecagonal (12 sided). 12 is considered a structural number – one of the numbers nature builds with. In his hands he holds a broken tusk, an elephant goad, a noose, and a sweet.  In his trunk he holds a jar of the nectar of immortality.  At his feet, his devoted vehicle Mushika the rat dances in joyous abandon.

What is the creativity of the gods? I don’t pretend to have any answers! But the inquiry and phase of practice of creating this painting was a blasting time! I experienced states of consciousness of incredible dimension, subtlety and intimacy. Wild, unbridled forces that can create as well as destroy.
