PRINT DETAILS

Sky Rose is part of the White Rose series and was inspired by meditation practices during the Spring Equinox—a moment of perfect balance between light and darkness, and a symbolic threshold for new beginnings. During this time, the artist experienced a vast and expansive inner space, a sense of consciousness just beginning to take form. This feeling of emergence became the foundation for the painting.

At the center of the composition, a white rose unfolds against an open sky, suggesting purity, freshness, and the quiet beauty of life coming into being. Beneath the rose, the ocean represents the deeper forces of manifestation—the mysterious movement from the unseen into form.

The painting’s composition is guided by a subtle fivefold geometry, inspired by the ancient archetype of the Pentad. Throughout art and nature, the number five symbolizes the emergence of life and the quintessence of nature itself. The gentle geometry woven into the image brings harmony and structure to the composition while echoing the natural patterns through which life unfolds.

Mythologically, the white rose is also associated with the birth of Aphrodite, emerging from sea foam where sky and ocean meet. This moment of transition—from the invisible to the visible—mirrors the creative process itself: the mysterious point where inspiration becomes form.

As a print, Sky Rose offers a quiet reminder of this threshold. It invites the viewer into a space of openness and possibility, reflecting the delicate yet powerful moment when something new begins to emerge.
