UNDERSTANDING FINE ART PRINT EDITIONS
A Guide for Collectors
Fine art print editions are carefully produced reproductions of original artworks, created using archival materials and released in controlled quantities determined by the artist. These editions allow collectors to acquire museum-quality prints while preserving the rarity and value of the original work.
Artists may offer different types of limited print editions—such as standard limited editions, hand-embellished prints, or ultra-limited collector editions—each created with different levels of artist involvement and rarity.
Why Not Every Painting Becomes a Print
Not every painting becomes a print.
It’s a decision I make carefully—after sitting with the original, reviewing the image at scale, testing colors on archival paper, and asking:
Does this reproduction hold the space of the original?
Some paintings simply don’t translate. The energy, the subtle vibration, the presence—it doesn’t come through. When that happens, I choose not to release them as prints.
Others seem to ask to be shared more broadly. And when they do, I choose the format and edition with equal care.
Below is a short guide to the types of prints I offer—and why they are crafted with as much intention as the paintings themselves.
My print editions are created in a small hierarchy of rarity and artist involvement, leading back to the original paintings.
ABOUT PRINT EDITIONS
Standard Limited Editions
Fine Art Reproductions | Archival Quality | Lasting Presence
Standard Limited Editions are high-quality giclée prints of original paintings, created on museum-grade cotton rag paper.
Each image is carefully proofed for color accuracy, scale, and tonal balance so that the print faithfully reflects the original artwork.
These prints are not hand-embellished, but they still carry the image—and often a strong echo—of the energy present in the original painting.
Features:
• Limited edition (typically 33 or fewer)
• Signed and numbered by the artist
• Archival pigment inks on cotton rag paper
• Produced with museum-quality materials
Standard editions offer collectors a beautiful and lasting way to live with the artwork.

Atelier Editions
Hand-Gilded | Enhanced Presence | A Touch of the Original
Atelier Editions are where the print begins to move closer to the original.
These limited edition giclées are hand-embellished in my studio with 24k gold leaf. During this process I return to the artwork directly—placing the gold leaf by hand and refining the surface so each print carries a subtle uniqueness.
This step allows me to re-enter the creative space of the original painting and offer each piece a touch of its vibrational core.
Features
• Limited edition
• Signed and numbered
• Hand-gilded with 24k gold leaf
• Each print slightly unique
These editions are ideal for collectors who want something closer to the original presence of the artwork.
LUX Editions
Hybrid Originals | Rare | Fully Embodied
LUX Editions are the rarest of my print offerings.
These ultra-limited editions go beyond gold leaf. Each piece also includes hand-painted elements in acrylic, transforming the print into a hybrid work that exists somewhere between print and original painting.
Because each piece requires careful studio time, these editions are produced in very small numbers.
Features
• Edition size typically 10 or fewer
• Signed and numbered
• Hand-gilded and hand-painted
• Each piece is unique
LUX editions are created for collectors who want something deeply alive—artworks that carry both the image and the artist’s hand.
Original Paintings
One-of-a-Kind | Energetically Crafted | Space-Transforming
Original paintings are the heart of my practice.
They are painted on wood panels using traditional gesso, water-soluble wax paint, and 24k gold leaf. These works are created not only to be seen, but to influence the atmosphere of the spaces they inhabit.
In Feng Shui there is the concept of chi—life force energy. My intention is that each painting carries a refined, uplifting quality of chi that quietly transforms the room it enters.
Each original is entirely unique.
They are crafted with care, presence, and devotion to the creative process.

Why Quality and Materials Matter
Every choice—from paper texture to the purity of gold leaf—is intentional.
In my studio, materials are not only technical choices—they are part of the energetic container that allows a work of art to hold presence over time.
I work with archival, non-toxic materials both to create longevity, and because the state of consciousness held during the creative process deserves a vessel capable of receiving and preserving that impression.
Each print is tested for scale, color, and reproduction accuracy. Some artworks only work at certain sizes. Others require the softness of cotton rag paper to hold the image correctly.
I do not offer canvas prints. Because my original paintings are created on wood panels, I maintain a clear distinction between the original works and their print counterparts—both in material and aesthetic integrity.
Why Quality and Materials Matter
There is a natural rhythm to how I release work.
Some editions remain small simply because that feels appropriate for the artwork. Others—especially Atelier and LUX editions—require such a high level of studio time that limiting the number created is essential.
The intention is always the same:
To preserve the value of the artwork
To honor the creative process
And to ensure that each print carries the fullness of attention it deserves.
Collector Glossary: Fine Art Print Terms
Giclée Print
A giclée (pronounced zhee-clay) is a high-quality fine art print created using archival pigment inks and professional printers designed for museum-quality reproduction.
These prints are valued for their exceptional color accuracy, detail, and longevity when printed on archival papers.
Limited Edition
A limited edition print is produced in a fixed quantity determined by the artist.
Each print is typically signed and numbered, and once the edition sells out, no more prints in that size and format are produced.
Edition Number
The edition number indicates where a print falls within the series.
For example:
5 / 33
This means the print is number five in an edition of thirty-three total prints.
Archival Materials
Archival materials are designed to last for generations without fading or degrading when properly cared for.
This typically includes:
• pigment-based archival inks
• museum-grade cotton rag paper
• acid-free materials
Hand-Embellished Print
A hand-embellished print is a fine art print that has been further worked on by the artist after printing.
In my studio this may include 24k gold leaf or hand-painted elements, making each piece slightly unique and closer to the character of the original painting.
Artist Proof (A/P)
Artist proofs are prints created outside the numbered edition.
Traditionally they were used by artists to review color and quality before producing the final edition, though today they are sometimes kept by the artist or offered to collectors in very small numbers.
An Invitation
Whether you are discovering my work for the first time or have been collecting it for years, I hope this guide offers insight into how I approach print editions.
Each print is more than a reproduction.
It is a reflection.
A vessel.
A way to bring beauty and inspiration into your home and daily life.
